Dr. Connolly earned her doctorate, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in management information systems from University of South Florida. She currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as executive information technology management, project management, business intelligence and information architecture. Her principal research interests are the impacts of information systems on individuals within organizations and the effectiveness of social media for volunteer organizations. Since joining the USC Upstate faculty in 2014, Dr. Connolly has received numerous competitive grants to fund her research on social media use, including a Research Initiative for Summer Engagement (RISE) from USC Columbia. She is regularly invited to review for Transactions on MIS, DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems, Journal of Community Informatics and other peer-reviewed outlets. She has published articles in prestigious conferences such as International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). Dr. Connolly is an active member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
