Interim Executive Director

AcaWiki (acawiki.org) is a not-for-profit project with the mission to be a resource to academics and the public by making summaries of academic papers and literature reviews accessible to the world. To make academic knowledge accessible, we have built a user-friendly semantic wiki that enables people to post human-readable summaries of academic papers and literature reviews to acawiki.org. All content on the site is available under a Creative Commons Attribution license to facilitate maximum access throughout the world.

AcaWiki was launched one year ago as a pilot project and is currently being run by a small group of dedicated volunteers. At this point, we are looking to take the project to the next level and have a small three-month grant to hire an interim Executive Director with the goal of securing funding to make AcaWiki more viable in the long term, while also continuing to pursue strategies to build content and community. If the interim Executive Director is successful in securing funds and demonstrates progress in increasing the number of committed contributors to the site, it is highly likely s/he would continue in the position as Executive Director.
