From Santa Cruz, California, moved to Seattle in 2012 to study archaeology at the University of Washington. I'm particularly interested in human/environment interaction in sub-arctic regions. I spent a month in 2013 at the North Atlantic Biocultural Organization's field school in Vatnsfjordur, Iceland excavating a medieval farm mound. In addition to archaeology, I've studied Latin and history in college. After graduating Spring 2015, I hope to get started on my archaeology masters/phd, though i may take a couple years off to work on a Masters at the University of Iceland in Viking, Norse, and Medieval Studies.
